The Forge Céleste vineyard: soils and grape varieties

Siliceous soils lie over a clay subsoil with a high iron oxide content. These features of the Figeac terraces form the setting for our work with Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the two grape varieties in the 2024 blend.

Here, organic farming involves grazing, soil management and plant-based compost. Explore our organic winegrowing practices to understand how we care for the vines and their soils, then visit the vintage page for the wine’s details.
